what we do

We aim to assist you with non-surgical, non-injection and non-invasive care. We strive to work hard on your behalf, treating you as an individual to support you with your spinal care needs.

We typically assist people in their mid to late twenties onwards, with treatment techniques adjusted based on the client's age and personal requirements.

We treat a wide range of conditions, specialising in acute or chronic back pain, including but not limited to:

how we help

At Swale Back Pain Clinic, we aim to be your partner in Musculoskeletal Health. We provide gentle and effective osteopathic care. Our experienced team takes a holistic approach, focusing on the interconnectedness of your body's systems to diagnose and treat the root cause of your pain or discomfort.

what to expect

Your initial appointment is an important opportunity for us to understand your health concerns in detail. We will begin by taking a comprehensive medical history, discussing your current symptoms, previous injuries, relevant medical conditions and lifestyle factors. This is often followed by a thorough physical examination, which may include assessment of posture, range of motion, muscle strength, joint mobility, and specific orthopaedic or neurological tests.

If required, we may recommend further diagnostic investigations, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Diagnostic Ultrasound or other imaging, to gain a clearer understanding of your condition. These steps allow us to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.

We will then discuss our findings with you, explain your diagnosis in clear, accessible language and provide an honest prognosis. Outlining the likely course of your condition and the expected outcomes of treatment. This ensures you have a realistic understanding of your recovery potential and the time frame involved. Our aim is to not only relieve your current symptoms but also address the root cause, improve your overall function and support your long-term health and wellbeing.

our approach

There are effective alternatives to pills, injections and surgery for many sufferers, with only very few requiring these pathways. We have succeeded with clients that were advised to have surgery and have gone on to make great improvements from a completely different approach to their problem.

We believe in empowering our clients to take an active role in their health. We will take the time to explain your condition and treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to help you achieve long-term pain relief and improved function, so you can get back to doing the things you love.

We aim to provide a personal led service, treating you as an individual each step on the journey. We pride ourselves on supporting you back to health and we work with the most up to date non-surgical, non-injection, non-invasive form of medicine available.

Our commitment is to assist you with non-surgical, non-injection and non-invasive care. We strive to work hard on your behalf, treating you as an individual to support you with your spinal care needs. We value the opportunity to assist you, we are here to help!

Glen Russell

Business & Operations Development Manager

Glen joined the clinic from a background of over 25 years in the corporate sector. During this tenure he developed successful business strategies, systems and teams for top level corporate organisations, in addition to the enhancement of client experience, all with a clear and obsessive focus upon end user and client satisfaction.

As business and operations development manager, he is able to pull on a raft of experience in client management excellence, systems development, personnel development, training and mentoring, performance analysis and strategic and tactical planning, all of which form a robust foundation and great opportunity to support both the growing client base and team.

Glen began this journey from being a former patient, having suffered with severe back trauma and chronic sciatic pain. This gave first hand understanding of the personable experience delivered with the most diligent care to restore and rehabilitate. Aligning to his own personal goals and career objectives, aspiring to be part of an organisation where he could feel more fulfilled with what really matters, to be working in a growing healthcare business with a clear ethical vision, that clearly cares and is dedicated to make a real difference in the lives of people and the community.

Glen has an overwhelming desire to reciprocate and give back, both personally and professionally. Therefore what better way, than in a business that truly helps to bring people back to their full health and potential, having suffered back related conditions and injuries. Glen lives to understand and help people, create a legacy both as a family man and a professional and wants to make a difference in whatever way he can to help. Allied to the mission that together we will continually strive to become Kent's premier non-surgical spinal care clinic and rid the community of the tyranny of spinal pain.
